Clothespin Butterflies

B is for Butterfly! Come fly away with this sparkling craft and learn all about the second letter in the alphabet.

Materials



Clothespins (1 per butterfly)
Pony Beads
White Fuzzy Sticks (two 12-inch, one 6-inch)
Glitter Fuzzy Sticks
Glitter

Step  1.

Lay your clothespin flat on a protected surface, like a paper plate, construction paper, or paper towel. Apply glue to the top of the clothespin until it’s covered!

Sprinkle your favorite glitter onto the glue. Move on to Step 3 while you wait for the glue to dry completely!

Decide what color beads and pattern you’d like to use for your wings — pick about 40 beads for each 12-inch fuzzy stick.

Twist the ends of the fuzzy stick together to create a circle. Then, evenly spread the beads apart on each side, so there’s about half an inch of space at the top and bottom of your fuzzy stick circle.

Now, it’s time to make the butterfly’s antenna! Fold the 6-inch fuzzy stick in half, add a bead to each end, and curl it!

Once your clothespin is dry, pinch it open, and slide in your fuzzy stick wings.
