Using 2 of the coffee filters, slide one half into the other half, as shown.
Glue together. Make sure there is space between the top points of the coffee filters.
Glue the remaining coffee filters together, as shown.
Glue the coffee filters from Steps 3 & 4 on top of the coffee filters from Step 5.
Fold two more coffee filters in half one time. Glue together as shown to create the owl’s wings.
Glue the wings to the back of the owl’s body.
Paint the owl brown.
Cut two circles, about 2″ across from yellow craft foam.
Glue a large wiggly eye in the middle of both circles.
Glue the eyes onto the owl’s head.
Cover the owl’s wings in brown feathers.
Cover the bottom coffee filter and the sides of the middle filter with brown feathers. Leave space in the middle for neon feathers.
Fill in the owl’s chest with neon feathers. We chose to use only pink, yellow and green.
Cover the owl’s face in brown feathers. Make sure you don’t cover the yellow foam completely!
Cut out a small diamond from yellow craft foam, for the owl’s beak.
Glue only the bottom half of the diamond to the owl’s face.
Fold over the top half of the diamond and glue the tip of the top half to the tip of the bottom half, to create a 3D beak.
