Craft Stick Frog Canvas

Ribbit! Add silly craft stick frogs to a serene pond complete with lily pads!

Fuzzy Sticks
Canvas
Paint
Shimmer Poms
Wiggly Eyes
Paint Brushes

Instructions



Step  1.

Paint broad strokes of various shades of blue onto a canvas, mixing and layering to create a serene lake or pond scene.

Bend a white fuzzy stick into small zig zags.

Secure the fuzzy stick to itself to create a flower shape.

Cut one sheet of green foam into two circles, then cut a triangle shape out of each one.

Cut 4 green craft sticks in half.

Secure 3 craft stick halves together and secure them by gluing the 4th to the back. Repeat this process to create 2 frogs.

Glue 2 green shimmer poms to the top of the craft sticks, then add wiggly eyes.

Flip your frog over and glue one green fuzzy stick, centered, to the bottom of the craft sticks at the opposite end of the eyes.

Bend the fuzzy stick on each side up once, then down, then into an L shape to create little froggy legs.

Curl a red fuzzy stick into a spiral shape about halfway, then glue to the bottom of the craft sticks to create the frog’s tongue.

Once your canvas is dry, glue the green foam lily pads and white fuzzy stick flowers to your canvas. Then cut out small pink foam circles for the center of the flowers.

Glue your frogs onto your canvas and your project is complete! Glue a small black or brown fuzzy stick to the end of one of your frogs’ tongues to show them catching a fly!
