Create clay "Day of the Dead" skulls and decorate them in honor of a lost friend, relative or ancestor.
Step 1. Gather your supplies.
Create a flat sugar skull shape out of air dry clay. Press large buttons into the clay where the eyes will be and be sure to poke a hole through the top of the skull so you can hang it later!
Using a pencil, draw in the details that you want to be painted black.
Outline the penciled areas in black paint.
Decorate the skull with brightly colored glitter glue. We added swirls, flowers and dots all around ours!
Cut a long piece of lime green hemp and fold it in half. Slide the folded half through the hole.
Pull the two ends through the folded loop until taught.
Create a loop at the end of the hemp for hanging.
