Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Download and print the provided template. To download the template, click the “Template” button above. Print out as many balloon templates as you’d like on your mobile! Color and cut out the balloons. Use paint dab markers and poster markers to create a cool texture!

Step 3.

Cut along the dotted lines on each of the balloon templates.

Step 4.

Insert a bottom cut balloon into a top cut balloon, as shown. We decided to mix and match our colors!

Step 5.

Put two dots of glue, one at the top and one at the bottom, near the slits of your balloons to secure.

Step 6.

Punch two holes into the top one of the balloon templates in each pair.

Step 7.

Using a 1/8” hole puncher, punch holes in the bottom of all the balloons. Set aside your balloons.

Step 8.

Put craft glue on your creamer cups or bottle caps and wrap them in brown friendship thread so they replicate baskets. Repeat for all of your baskets.

Step 9.

When you are finished wrapping add a dab of glue on the end of the string to secure, as shown.

Step 10.

Paint the white parts of the creamer cups brown.

Step 11.

Once your baskets are dry, flip them over. Attach (4) 3” pieces of friendship thread to the top of the baskets as shown. Repeat for all of your baskets.

Step 12.

Tie the (4) strings from the basket to the (4) holes you punched in Step 7 in one of the balloons. Repeat for all of your balloons.

Step 13.

Add a dab of glue on the knots to secure.

Step 14.

Line up the two wooden dowels next to a ruler and mark the halfway point on both dowels.

Step 15.

Line the centers up on the dowels and create a cross. Glue in the middle where the two sticks meet.

Step 16.

Cut (4) pieces of friendship thread. Make sure each piece is about an inch longer than the dowels.

Step 17.

Tie all four strings together.

Step 18.

Secure where the strings are tied to the dowels with a dot of glue.

Step 19.

Tie (2) strings to the top holes of each balloon, as shown.

Step 20.

Tie a longer string to the two that are tied to the top of the balloons and then tie to a dowel. Make the strings different lengths so the balloons are staggered.
