Jeweled Plaster Vase

Cover a cup with Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth to make a sturdy vase to display in your home.

Materials


  • Bucket of Bling
  • Alphabet Beads Tub
  • 25 Pack Assorted Paint Brushes
  • Silver Glitter Glue 2.98 oz.
  • Premium Paint Set, 24 pack
  • Scissors
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Craft Glue
  • Bowl of Water

Instructions


Step 1. Gather your supplies.


Step 2.

Cut a piece of plastic wrap, long enough to wrap around the paper cup.


Step 3.

Cover the cup with plastic wrap. Make sure to cover the bottom of the cup, as well as the sides.


Step 4.

Dip a cut square of Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth into a bowl of water. Run your fingers over the Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth to remove excess water.


Step 5.

Smooth the Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth carefully over your plastic wrapped covered cup.


Step 6.

Continue to place strips of Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth over your cup until you have covered the form with at least two layers of plaster cloth. Let Dry. Tip- As you you are covering the cup, make sure not to let the Cloth cover over the lip of the cup, it will make it more difficult to remove the cup in a later step. Step 7.

Once the Plaster Rigid Wrap Cloth has dried, you should be able to easily slide the cup out of the Plaster, now you have a vase.


Step 8.

Carefully remove the plastic wrap from inside the vase.


Step 9.


Paint the vase and let dry.


Step 10.

Once the paint dries, glue on Acrylic Jewels. Tip: try and plan a design on the vase. We used silver, purple and green jewels in a pattern that wrapped around the vase.


Step. 11.

Use Glitter Glue to add some finishing touches to your vase. Now your vase is complete!

Note: As plaster rigid wrap was used to create this vase, this items should be used for display purposes only. Do not put water into the vase as it will loosen the plaster structure.
