Hang out and have fun creating one of the cutest members of the Xenarthra family of mammals — the three-toed tree sloth!

Paint a blank canvas any color you choose!

Print the downloadable template above and trace the outline of your sloth on a gray foam sheet. In this craft, we used adhesive foam sheets, but the regular kind will do just fine!

Step  3.

Cut out 2 ovals from your gray foam sheet — 1 large, 2 small. Then, cut out 2 more (even smaller) half-ovals!

Next, cut out a heart-shaped oval and a furry belly from your light brown foam sheet.

Grab your dark brown foam sheet, and cut out 2 small almond shapes!

From your black foam sheet, cut out 1 teardrop-shaped nose and 4 three-toed claws!

Glue your small gray oval onto your furry brown belly!

Take your brown heart-shaped oval and glue it onto your large gray oval!

Grab your dark brown almond shapes and your teardrop-shaped nose, and glue them on top of your heart-shaped oval! Then, add wiggly eyes and a smile!

Glue down your fuzzy brown and gray belly onto your sloth’s body.

Stick your sloth’s head on top of his fuzzy belly!

Take 2 of your three-toed claws and glue them to the back of your sloth’s legs.

Glue your 2 remaining three-toed claws onto your 2 half-oval shapes.

Make your branches! Twist 2 brown fuzzy sticks together — leaving two-pronged ends on either side.

Gently bend your fuzzy sticks into an uneven U shape and wrap your hemp cord around it to make your branch look extra vine-y. Trim off any excess string!

Make sure your canvas is completely dry, then glue your branch onto the top edges!

Then, stick your sloth onto your canvas — just below the branch.

Grip onto that branch! Glue your 2 half-oval shapes onto the branch — at the top of your sloth’s arms. Once your glue dries, let your sloth hang out anywhere you please!
