Lesson Objectives

  • List All The Ways: This craft is an excellent way to practice spelling and penmanship! Before writing on the craft sticks, have your students make a list of all the reasons they love their moms. Ask them to write in full sentences and check their spelling before transferring them to the craft sticks.
  • Love In Every Color: Rainbows follow a very specific pattern: red, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet — ROYGBIV! Encourage your students to use every color of the rainbow to create this craft stick sign for mom! Then, ask them to display it in the same order as a rainbow. Can they remember the order from memory?
