Hedgehog Painting

Use a super simple painting technique to create a cute little hedgehog!

 

 

Did you know… Although hedgehogs usually live on the ground, they are good swimmers and can even climb trees!

Step  1.

Draw an oval in the center of your canvas.

Use a thin paintbrush to create small brush strokes around the oval.

You can even use the paintbrush as a stamp and press it down to make short strokes.

Repeat around the circle with various colors.

Start moving your brush strokes outward as you continue to add more colors.

Repeat this process until you have about 4 or 5 rows of various colors of paint. Your canvas should look like it is filled with hedgehog quills!

Use a black marker to draw simple feet, and color them in.

Draw smaller hands a little more than halfway up the oval.

Draw a mushroom shaped nose and a small triangle smile for your hedgehog!
