Ring in the new year with kindness resolutions in the classroom!

  • Reach for the Stars: No resolution is too big or small! Encourage your students to reflect on things they enjoy and how they can reach new goals. How many books can they read? What sport would they to try? Are there any school subjects they’d like to improve on?
  • Gaze up at Your Goals: Now’s the perfect time to practice those spelling and grammar skills. Give your students grade-appropriate guidelines and have them proofread before writing permanently on the stars. Take the lesson a step further by giving the class time to peer review for spelling and grammar.

Shine for others this year! How do your students’ personal goals align with spreading kindness? Have them think of acts of service they can participate in for next year. Could they play with their sibling more, volunteer for a good cause, or even clean up their neighborhood?
