Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies. |
Step 2. Using the glue stick, apply glue to a white piece of Construction Paper. Be sure to cover the whole paper, not just the edges. |
Step 3. Glue the white Paper to a blue piece of Paper. |
Step 4. Cut the white and blue Paper into 2 inch squares, you will need at least 12 squares. Tip: Use a pencil and ruler to ensure the pieces are all the same size. That is important for this game! |
Step 5. Pour some craft glue on the plate. Gently press one of the foam stamps into the glue, making sure its completely covered in glue. Press the stamp on a new area of the plate several times to remove excess glue. You do not want clumps of glue on the stamp. |
Step 6. Press the glue covered Stamp on the white side of one of the cut squares. |
Step 7. Place your stamped card on a piece of scrap paper. Gently shake glitter on the stamped card. Shake off the excess glitter from the card onto the scrap paper. Tip: fold the paper to funnel the glitter back into the container. |
Step 8. Repeat Steps 5-7 with the same foam stamp to make a matching card. |
Step 9. Stamp 8 more cards in matching pairs. Tip: you can use the same stamp for more than one pair, making sure to use a different color glitter. Allow your pieces to dry. |
Step 10. To play the game, have your preschooler place all the cards with the blue side up. Then have them turn over one card at a time to try and find the matching cards. Use these pieces to strengthen their memory skills! |
