Stamped Name Plaque

  • Young Adult
  • Grades 1-3

Create a name plaque for your bedroom door or school locker, using a masking effect with foam stamps and stencils.

Materials

  • Markers
  • White Card Stock
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Foam Stamp Shapes
  • Construction paper

Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Position a letter stencil on the paper. Tip: before starting the project, visualize how your letters will fit together on the paper. Make sure they are spaced evenly and that you will have enough room for all the letters.

Step 3.

Use the alphabet foam stamp that corresponds to the letter stencil that you picked.  For example, we started with the letter “A” Stencil, so we stamped the letter “A” inside the Stencil. Stamp repeatedly to fill up the blank space inside the Stencil, it’s okay if the Stamps overlap or go outside of the Stenciled area.

Step 4.

Use a marker that is the same color as the stamped letters to outline the stencil of your first letter.

Step 5.

Repeat steps 1-4 to complete the rest of the letters in the name.

Step 6.

Decorate the name plaque with different stamps.

Step 7.

To make a border for your plaque, glue the card stock to some colored Construction Paper.

Step 8.

Complete your name plaque by adding a few touches of glitter glue.
